Final Poster

Evaluation

I personally think that the poster came out well and overall I think it represents the genre of a action and adventure and a sci-fi well. I overall think that it is better than my poster drafts due to the fact that it has a bit more of a poster look as the other ones looked shoddy and poorly edited and an overall bad poster. For the images, I searched on a site called Pexels, which is a free copyright free sight that allowed me to the pic and chooses a selection of images for my poster including the sights in the rips, the rips themselves and the background crumpled paper image. The process of making the poster was fairly easy, and the materials for the poster was really easy to obtain, so overall the experience was difficult in some areas but actually easy in most areas.

The roster overall is directed at the 15-25-year-old audience meaning that a few things are considered allowed in the poster due to the age of the viewers. That means that violence, Possible light nudity and rude gestures are allowed in the poster, although the poster would still be seen publicly meaning that hardcore violence and Nudity will not be allowed. My poster does not include any theme or hint at violence or nudity in it, meaning that it will be appropriate for all ages. The poster also may be a bit lacklustre in the Action and adventure genre due to the lack of hints in the poster that the film is an action and adventure. I ended up with the design of my poster and the theme of a ripped up poster by some constructive feedback about how my posters may look a bit comical and is not really what I think that I should be going for in terms of a movie poster design.

What would I change
For my poster I think that I would change a decent amount if I had to do it again, starting off with the design itself, I would hint the poster towards the genre that I was trying to go for which was an Action adventure/Sci-fi. Because at the moment the poster looks a bit more like a comic which may give a sort of superhero possibly comic vibe, which isnt what i am trying to give off.

I would also try and do something with the rips, meaning that I could have been a bit more creative with my design by making the rips a bit more hap-hazard by having them come across the page or cross over each other, to make it overall look more distressed and naturally done whilst now it seems man-made.
